Public Guardian?

There is a program in Kane County where if the County feels you are no longer able to care for yourself and have no next of kin locally they can make you basically a ward of the state.

Sound fishy?

It is. These two people below had friends and family that were put into the Guardian system only to have their friend thrown into exile and threatened if they had any contact with previous friends and family members.

Mr. Rollins' Aunt was put in this program and half her home and possessions were auctioned off before he even knew what was happening. When he found out he immediately bought the home and save what he could of her belongings.

She was put into a nursing home against her will and Mr. Rollins promised to bring her back home. Sadly, she passed away before he was able to, but as a parting gesture, he took this rose from her casket that was driven by the home on the way to her burial and walked it through the house. "It was my way of finally bringing her home." he said.

A similar story happened to Shirley Girsh, but with a close friend. "We had been friends forever, and then all of a sudden I wasn't allowed to talk to her at all," Shirley said.

Thanks for sharing these stories. It's beautifully written and photographed.

This is a growing problem. Kidnapping the elderly, throwing them into guardianship in order to profit. Then they isolate "the ward" from their loved ones so they can't escape. The poor souls are trapped, then spend the remainder of their lives being financially exploited by the "pubic guardian." It's so incredibly sad.

My story is here:

And there are many, many more victims......

Mr. Rollins is also in my prayers. God Bless him. It's a powerful and sad story, the photograph of the rose literally breaks my heart.

This same tragedy also happens to families who have next of kin and are willing and able to care for them. Instead, they are shunted aside and often not even allowed to visit their loved ones.

Guardianship law is a good law, gone bad. The intent of guardianship is to GUARD alleged inompetent persons or wards to keep them from harming themselves or anyone else: CONSERVE their assets; and PROTECT the taxpayers from wards becoming a public charge.

The system is failing in all three areas and vulnerable people and their families are being harmed instead by these proceedings under the guise of "protection."

This is heartbreaking. People who created, lived, loved and were loved being literally kidnapped and held in isolation. Lucius Verenus, Schoolmaster, ProbateSharks.com

The giveaway that they are dealing dirty is the isolation. That is just an awful thing to do to a family.
