My apologies...

... but these were just to funny not to post. I was trying out some different lighting situations with a new light and Ben was once again my victim... I mean, subject. I will put the real ones up tomorrow.

Hysteric Hilltoppers

With basketball season just around the corner, Western had it's big celebration, Hilltopper Hysteria, the other day. Expectations for the teams this year are high so lets hope for the best.

Grown up Kiddy Music

More photos I have had for a bit and are now just seeing the light of a computer screen. They are from a concert that was put on at Western where select students were brought here to put on a one day concert. Divided up by age group, I must say, they all sounded really good. Enjoy!

For anyone keeping track this is officially post #200 of this disasterpiece of a blog I've got goin'. We have had our ups and downs but it's been fun..... for me at least. I keep getting visitors so some of you keep coming back for more and I thank you very much for that.

Anyway, I shot a concert on WKU's campus called Revfest sponsored by the radio station here. The main group I wanted to see was local band MICAH. I had shot the guitar player, Joe Tichnor, for a story running in the Herald awhile back, see it HERE, and had a great time with him and his sister, so I thought I would check them out.

They put on a great show, and with any luck you will be seeing more of them here in the future.

Weddings!

Since I spent most of last summer shooting weddings and I finally got around to putting together some of better ones. The wedding part of the website has been redone to hopefully make it a bit nicer. These are just some of my favorites, check out the WEBSITE for more.

For booking check the Website or Modern Image Studios.

Big Time

Dawson chillin' at the bar with the big boys. Daddy and him got in a tizzy about who was better at a certain iPhone game. Quite comical.

Friday night fun

Some random shots from the area football teams. It is always fun to see how excited people get about high school football. Big town or small town, it doesn't seem to matter- people are just really passionate about it even if they don't have kids on the team.

Where the heart is....

I spent most of last weekend in the truck. Driving home, driving an hour and a half to a wedding, driving back, driving another hour or so to wedding #2 and then wrapping it all up with another little drive back to school in time for a 2:00 class monday. Whoo!
Keeping me company on all these long drives is my camera which always gets to ride shotgun, and will even take the wheel at some points. Thought I would share some of the drive with everyone.

Traveling Wall

The traveling Vietnam Memorial wall came to Bowling Green about a week or so ago and I got to spend a few days over there for the Daily News. Some people got pretty emotional, especially the people who did have the resources to make it to the official one.

We covered it so much that on the day it left we had a special section on it with extra photos and a gallery online from all the shooters. It was cool to see how 3 different photographers captured the same event over 3-4 days that was pretty visually lacking to begin with. Check out the gallery HERE.

Kentucky Downs

I spent some time in Franklin the other day at Kentucky Downs, a local turf track for a feature assignment. It was my first horse race so I wasn't exactly sure what to expect, but it was quite fun......it helped that the light was fantastic the whole time also.

I never realized just how small jockey's are. I just always pictured them to be bigger, but all the ones at that I saw were no taller than 5'3" and couldn't have weighed more than 130.
