Next to the Hot Rods, High school football has been a big part of my shooting so far in the big BG. Here are some of my favorites....

Hot Rods in Heaven

A big chunk of my time so far has been spent shooting The Hot Rods, Bowling Green's minor league baseball team. Luckily I have had good luck so far and all the games I have been to have been awesome weather wise...... the team though, not so much.

Who needs school?

I learned something new the other day, 6th grade is considered part of elementary school here. Weird.
Anyway, these kids are sixth graders and are running as part of a running club their teacher put together. It was pretty cool because they were all really psyched about running and even asked to run more.
What was even funnier? A fat ol' me running to take their picture.


Her family came out to help her coach the kids this time. Her son is getting ready to start the kids of on sprints while her daughter gives her a hug.

Family First

I had the chance to shoot a portrait of Joe and Kate Tichnor the other day for a story in the Herald. They were a blast to shoot and really got into the air band thing as you can see below. Joe plays in a band called Micah whose shirt Kate is sporting. "Kate knows all the words." Joe said.

Back to School....

...Back to Greeks. Yes it is that lovely time again, when all those wonderful high school cliques get named with letters that mean nothing to most and all to much to others.
This is part of the Kappa Delta rush week festivities when prospective members get to see the house in all its glory.

Kick off Concert

Western had it's "Welcome back" concert the other night. The band Ball in the House Opened up for Edwin McCain. It was a great night for a show and there surprisingly was quite the turnout for a event I thought would be seen as "school trying to be cool" type of event.


I firmly believe that Cellphones and laptops were created to give photographers some light to work with when it is pitch black.

How 'bout some foooooooooseball?

I spent some time with a youth football team with one of the coolest coaches I have met. As practice ended he told the kids he could really care less about football, "Anybody can run with the football," he said, "We are here to teach you about life."
We shall see if this turns into something more....

High school Soccer

Two local teams met up last week, Warren Central and Warren East. Central dominated the game thanks to 5 goals by their star player.

Special Delivery

This was on the way down to school last week.... It caused almost an hour delay, forcing two lanes down to one. Luckily we were on the opposite side because North bound traffic was backed up for miles and was diverted off the highway and around the wreck.

Wedding Summer

With no internship this summer Weddings and freelance work has taken up most of my time so there may be a few wedding themed posts for a little while as I go back through them all to get my wedding portfolio together.
